Feb 21, 2008Overall: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Drink: 3 Food: 4 English themmed pub. Just of the main drag on Exibition road. A little hard to find at first has its set a good 150yard off the road. but a nice wee find. Food menu was huge and classic brit menu. Portions were huge. Happy hour at the bar most nights and a large selection of drinks and bar or waitress service. Unlike JJ's the staff are not Western (not when I went). This is not a good or a bad thing, just a point to note. Large screen for TV and football and sports. Live bands played, some terrible pop idol band came on (not un common of the sort of entertainment available in Bahrain) but promtly que time for a qick exit. Pub was large and good atmospher, but not not 100% clean. But itis a pub in the desert and not a wine bar in london, so get over it. Nothing to offend. Good option for a night out and a few well needed drinks. "And I want a pint of tartan special"
